OUR COMPANY
Who We Are
Boontham was founded to give adults in Thailand the kind of bond education that is honest, well-paced, and grounded in the realities of the local market.
Back to HomeOUR STORY
Built on a Simple Belief
Boontham was established in Bangkok in 2016 by a small group of practitioners who had spent years working in Thai fixed income markets. What we noticed was that most educational resources were either written for financial professionals or aimed at investors looking for excitement. Very little existed for adults over 40 who simply wanted a clear, careful understanding of how bonds work.
We built our courses from the ground up, drawing on the Thai Bond Market Association's real listings, the credit agencies active in Thailand, and the Ministry of Finance's savings bond programmes. Every example, worksheet, and case study references instruments and data that our participants can actually access.
Our name, Boontham, reflects the value we place on steady, purposeful effort. It is a reminder that building knowledge of fixed income — like tending a garden — rewards patience and attention over urgency.
Our Mission
To make fixed income knowledge accessible to every adult in Thailand who wants to understand bond markets and make informed decisions about their savings and investments — without pressure, without shortcuts, and without jargon that obscures more than it reveals.
Clarity over complexity — we explain every concept in plain language before introducing technical detail.
Patience over speed — our courses are designed to let each concept settle before the next one arrives.
Local relevance — all content is anchored in the Thai bond market and regulatory environment.

HOW WE WORK
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Curriculum Accuracy
Course materials are reviewed annually against current Thai market conditions, updated regulations, and ThaiBMA data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Participant Feedback
After every course, we collect structured feedback and use it to refine content, pacing, and delivery before the next intake. Every cohort benefits from what previous cohorts experienced.
Data Privacy
Participant information is handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Ethical Teaching
We do not promote specific investment products, brokers, or platforms. Courses are educational in nature. All investment decisions remain with the participant.
Instructor Accountability
Each instructor is expected to be reachable between sessions, respond to questions within two working days, and prepare examples relevant to current Thai market conditions.
Participant Wellbeing
We recognise that adults over 40 often balance study with work and family. Scheduling is discussed at enrolment and we accommodate reasonable adjustments where we can.
Fixed Income Knowledge, Grounded in Thai Market Reality
Thailand's bond market has grown considerably over the past decade, with the Thai Bond Market Association (ThaiBMA) reporting consistent expansion in both government and corporate issuances. For adults seeking a structured approach to understanding this market, the availability of quality, locally-relevant education has not kept pace with the market's development.
At Boontham, we address this gap by teaching bond concepts using real Thai instruments — from government savings bonds and treasury bills to investment-grade corporate bonds listed on ThaiBMA. Participants learn to read offering documents in the format they actually encounter, understand ratings from TRIS Rating and Fitch Thailand, and apply yield calculations to instruments available in baht.
Our courses are particularly relevant to adults who have accumulated savings and wish to explore fixed income as a component of a diversified approach to their personal finances — not as a shortcut, but as a field of knowledge worth understanding clearly and applying thoughtfully. Boontham provides the structured, practitioner-led environment in which that kind of learning can develop.
